Clinical Mental Health Therapist & Certified Grief Educator

MA, Counseling Psychology, St. Mary's University 2024

Clinical Supervision with Tessa Fultz, LICSW

Hello and welcome! I care deeply about your mental health and supporting you in achieving wellness in the areas that matter most to you.

In our sessions, my goal is to offer warm, supportive care while helping you build confidence over time to face emotional and relational challenges with greater independence. I strive to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and encouraged as we move at your own pace.

The integration of faith into therapy is welcomed at any level you are comfortable with, and I am equally passionate about serving individuals who prefer a secular approach. Our time together is guided by what feels most meaningful to you and aligns with your values.

I am certified to support individuals experiencing grief related to death or other significant losses that are not widely recognized. My passion is shaped by my own experiences with loss, allowing me to approach grief with deep empathy and honor each person’s unique and personal journey.

Together, we can explore patterns of thinking, practical strategies for managing everyday challenges, emotional regulation tools, and other approaches that support your growth. I also provide therapy through an Internal Family Systems and Person-Centered lens. Together, we can individualize therapy to meet your needs, your goals, and what you hope to gain from this space.

Thank you for being here. As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Lakeview Wellness Counseling, I have the privilege of supporting clients under the supervision of Tessa Fultz, LICSW while I complete my Master’s degree at Liberty University.

During our time together, I focus on creating a steady, respectful space where you can speak openly and we can work side by side. While I am still building my clinical skills through training and close supervision, I approach each session with genuine curiosity and a commitment to learning with you. I draw from evidence-based practices and welcome integrating faith-informed perspectives, Christian or otherwise, at whatever level feels right to you.

As a U.S. military veteran, I carry a deep respect for the strength required in service and the real challenges that can follow be they transitions, trauma, or the weight of high-stress experiences. This background gives me a particular lens of empathy and steadiness that I bring to every client I work with. I have a special interest in supporting veterans, service members, and military families, but I am equally glad to walk with anyone seeking support.

I believe everyone deserves a place where they feel understood and supported, no matter who they are or what they’re carrying. I believe in your capacity for healing and growth, and I would be honored to walk with you for a while.

I am humbled by and grateful for the opportunity to provide therapeutic support for those brave enough to say, “I need help.” In my counseling office you can expect to be welcomed with deep levels of empathy and genuine care. I'm committed to providing a healing space where clients feel consistently valued, accepted and heard. I'm strengths-based, trauma-informed, and love to provide holistic approaches that support your mind, body, and spirit. Welcome — I’m really glad you’re here. I know first-hand that the first step of reaching out and getting started is the hardest part. It takes courage to do that, and you've got what it takes- you can do this. I will hold hope for you even if you cannot right now.

I support children, teens, young adults, adults, and families through life’s challenges with a calm, steady, and compassionate approach. My style is gentle, thoughtful, and paced to match your comfort. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, autism, life transitions, parent‑child dynamics, or seeking deeper healing through EMDR, I offer a space where you can breathe, settle, and feel genuinely supported.

I ask meaningful questions that help you reflect and grow without pressure. My goal is to create a grounded environment where healing feels possible and where you feel understood and cared for.

My work is shaped by both professional training and personal experience with mental health, which fuels my commitment to reducing stigma and offering practical, effective support.

For children, I create a playful, nurturing space using art, sand, toys, and other creative tools that match their interests.

For teens, I use interactive activities, projects, and therapeutic tools that keep the work engaging and relevant.

For adults, I offer a warm, collaborative approach that helps you explore patterns, build insight, and move toward meaningful change.

I also value strong family collaboration. I offer parent‑child sessions, family therapy, individual sessions, and parent‑only meetings — whatever best supports your goals. When helpful, I coordinate with schools and other providers to ensure consistent, well‑rounded care.

If you’re looking for a therapist who moves at your pace, honors your story, and specializes in supporting individuals and families through anxiety, autism, transitions, grief, loss, depression, postpartum or parenting concerns, christian integration therapy, and deeper healing work, I’m here to walk alongside you with clarity and compassion.
